The short answer

Pick BIQU's CryoGrip Pro Glacier if you want low bed temperatures and a documented material range on an original Ender-3 or Ender-3 V2. Pick Creality's Double-sided Printing Platform if you want a smooth PEI side and a textured side on one sheet, or you own an Ender-3 S1. Both are flexible steel build sheets sold for Creality's Ender-3 family, and both have two printing sides. Glacier is a double-sided, 7-layer composite on magnetic spring steel. The BIGTREETECH Wiki, which documents BIQU's plates, says PLA grips on it at 45 °C, lists materials up to nylon, PC, and glass-fiber composites, and gives cleaning advice. Creality's sheet is a 1.2 mm steel plate, and Creality gives no bed temperatures, material list, or cleaning advice. On an S1, Creality says to remove two positioning screws from the hotbed first.

Who this comparison is for

This page is for Creality Ender-3 owners choosing between two replacement sheets: the Ender-3 size of BIQU's CryoGrip Pro Glacier and Creality's own Double-sided Printing Platform in 235 × 235 mm. BIQU sells the Glacier plate in many sizes on one listing, and we cover only the option it labels "220mm*220mm(For Adventurer 5M/Ender 3/V2/Pro/Ender 3S/CR20/Ender 5/Sovol SV05)," BIQU SKU 1060000760. BIQU also sells a coarser Frostbite surface on the same listing, which this page doesn't cover; see our Glacier vs Frostbite comparison for that choice. Creality lists its sheet as item number 4004090069. The Amazon listings we link name the Ender-3 V3 for the BIQU plate, and title the Creality sheet for the V3 SE, K1C, and K1 SE as well. That's our listing data, not something either maker's page shows, so we make no fit claim for those printers. If you're still choosing a surface type, see our textured vs smooth build surfaces guide, and for more plates, the build plate shortlist.

How we compared them

This is a research-based comparison. Every figure below comes from BIQU's store page, the BIGTREETECH Wiki, Creality's store, and Creality's VIP Mall, all listed in the sources, and printer fit comes from our compatibility records, which are built from those pages. We haven't printed on either plate, so nothing here is a measured result of ours. Where a maker describes its own product, such as BIQU's "warp-free results" or Creality's "No Model Move or Warping," we label it as the maker's claim.

Creality's store page has a short feature list. Its VIP Mall page, Creality's own storefront, adds a compatibility note and a set of product images with text in them. Where a detail appears only as text inside one of those images, we say so. Those images are 1,200 pixels wide and their text is legible at that size. Neither maker publishes an adhesion test, wear data, or a temperature limit for the sheet, so there's no test table on this page.

Surfaces and texture

The two sheets take different approaches to a two-sided plate.

  • CryoGrip Pro Glacier. BIQU calls Glacier "a premium cold build plate featuring a fine-texture surface on a durable 7-layer composite with high-magnetic spring steel," and says the texture "provides balanced adhesion for a wide range of filaments." The BIGTREETECH Wiki calls it a "refined surface texture" and says it gives "a smoother, more refined bottom layer than traditional PEI plates." BIQU lists a "Double-sided 7-layer composite surface for versatile use," but doesn't say whether the two sides have different finishes.
  • Creality Double-sided Printing Platform. Creality's store page lists "Smooth PEI Surface for Flat Model Surface" and "Textured Sticker with Excellent Adhesion,No Warping," under "Double Sided, Two Different Printing Experiences." Text in the VIP Mall images reads "Smooth one side with coated PEI and Textured the other side with textured sticker." Creality doesn't name the textured side's material. The same images label it "Steel textured surface," so don't assume it's textured PEI.

If you want a smooth, flat bottom on some prints and a textured one on others, Creality's two different sides give you both on one sheet. If you want a fine texture with a low-temperature coating, Glacier is built for that. Our textured vs smooth build surfaces guide covers how each finish affects adhesion and the look of the bottom face.

Bed temperatures and materials

This is where the documentation differs most.

  • CryoGrip Pro Glacier. The BIGTREETECH Wiki says "PLA adheres securely at just 45°C, while PETG requires only 60°C," and lists PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, PC, nylon, glass-fiber composites, "and most engineering-grade filaments." BIQU's Ender-size store page says the plate is "ideal for PLA and PETG at room temperature or low bed temps (30-65°C)," and calls Glacier "more versatile for materials like ABS or Nylon compared to coarser options." BIQU says no glue is "needed for most prints."
  • Creality Double-sided Printing Platform. Creality's store and VIP Mall pages give no bed temperatures, no material list, and no glue guidance. Use your filament maker's recommended bed temperature for the side you print on.

BIQU's figures are the plate maker's, not your filament maker's. A filament's own data sheet may give a higher bed temperature, so if a print lifts on Glacier, BIGTREETECH's first checks are a clean surface and slicer settings that match "the recommended bed temperature for your filament." Our first layer adhesion guide covers what to check next.

Printer fit

Both makers name more printers than we hold records for, so we only make fit claims where our compatibility records do.

  • CryoGrip Pro Glacier. In our records, it fits the original Ender-3 and the Ender-3 V2. BIQU's size option names the "Ender 3/V2/Pro/Ender 3S/CR20/Ender 5," the Adventurer 5M, and the Sovol SV05, and the BIGTREETECH Wiki's 220 × 220 mm row lists the Ender 3, "Ender V2," "Ender Pro," and Ender 3S among others. BIQU doesn't name the Ender-3 S1 for this size, and we hold no S1 record for this plate.
  • Creality Double-sided Printing Platform. In our records, it fits the original Ender-3, the Ender-3 V2, and the Ender-3 S1. Creality's application list reads "Ender-3/Ender-3 Pro/Ender-3S/Ender-3 V2/Ender-5/Ender-5S/Ender-5 Pro/Ender-3 S1/Ender-3 S1 Pro." Its VIP Mall compatibility note adds: "To be compatible with Ender-3 S1/Ender-3 S1 Pro, please remove the two positioning screws on the hotbed first." The parameter table in Creality's VIP Mall images lists the Ender-3, 3 Pro, 3S, 3 V2, 5, 5S, and 5 Pro, without the S1.

Neither maker names the Ender-3 V3 series or the Ender-3 V4 for these sheets. The other models each maker names, such as the Ender-3 Pro and Ender-5, are named by the maker, with no fit claim from us. If you own an Ender-3 S1, read Creality's screw note before you fit its sheet.

Magnetic base

Neither maker says its sheet comes with a magnetic base for your bed. BIQU's store page says Glacier's "strong magnetic base ensures secure attachment to compatible printer beds," but doesn't say whether a separate magnetic sticker is in the box. Creality's pages don't call its sheet magnetic or list a base.

Creality sells an Ender Soft Magnetic Sticker separately, listing "Ender-3 V2 / Ender-3 / Ender-3 Pro / Ender-5 / Ender-5 Pro," and says "No Demagnetization even in 70℃ for Long Time." Creality's sheet page doesn't link the two products, so check what surface your bed has now before you buy either sheet.

Removal, cleaning, and wear

  • CryoGrip Pro Glacier. For prints that stick, the BIGTREETECH Wiki says to let the plate "cool completely to room temperature," then "Gently flex the plate to release the model. Use a scraper carefully if necessary," and to lower the bed temperature on later prints if adhesion is too strong. It says to clean Glacier "with alcohol or soapy water." It also says the coating "is softer than textured PEI and may be more susceptible to scratching," though "Minor surface scratches from normal use will not significantly affect adhesion performance."
  • Creality Double-sided Printing Platform. Creality's store page lists "Thin and Light" and "Easy to Remove Models." Text in its VIP Mall images says "One second to take off printed models, just by bending the plate." Creality gives no cleaning or wear guidance for either side.

Our PEI sheet damage guide and print stuck to the bed guide cover safe removal and care for both kinds of surface.

What each maker says it's for

  • CryoGrip Pro Glacier. BIQU says it's "Designed for excellent bed adhesion at low or room temperatures," with "energy-saving printing" and "warp-free results and effortless part removal." BIGTREETECH calls it "designed for effortless, beginner-friendly printing." These are the maker's claims, with no test figures published.
  • Creality Double-sided Printing Platform. Creality sells it as "Two Different Printing Experiences," and its VIP Mall images say "buy one plate you get both smooth and textured build surfaces." The image text also claims "Excellent adesion for easy printing without any model warping," which is Creality's claim with no test behind it.

Safety and limits

How this page was checked

Every specification, temperature, and printer detail above comes from the BIQU, BIGTREETECH, and Creality pages in the sources section, retrieved on 2026-10-13, and from our compatibility records built from them. We haven't printed on either plate for this page, so nothing here is a measured result of ours. BIQU's Ender-size store page and the BIGTREETECH Wiki give the 220 × 220 mm figure as a print area or print size, not a sheet size. The product image BIQU shows for this size option is a dimension drawing that marks the sheet 235 mm by 235 mm, legible at the size BIQU serves it, so the sheet size comes from that image text. Creality's sheet details beyond its short store page come from its VIP Mall listing: the 1.2 mm thickness is in that page's title, and the "Flexible Steel Plate," surface labels, removal claim, and parameter table are text inside its product images, legible at the full size Creality serves them, and labelled here as image text. Creality's VIP Mall text and image give different weights for the sheet, so we haven't listed one. We found no bed temperatures, material list, or cleaning guidance for the Creality sheet on either Creality page. Read more in our editorial standards and affiliate disclosure.
